Using and Interpreting Engineering Data and Documentation (Y/601/5102) Level 2 – 5 Credits

Unit aim

This unit covers the skills and knowledge needed to prove the competences required to make effective use of text, numeric and graphical information, by
interpreting and using technical information extracted from documents such as engineering drawings, technical manuals, reference tables, specifications, technical sales/marketing documentation, charts or electronic displays, in accordance with approved procedures. The learner will be required to extract the necessary information from the various documents, in order to establish and carry out the work requirements, and to make valid decisions about the work activities based on the information extracted.
