What is the Level 3 Certificate in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering?
The Level 3 Certificate in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering is a staple in terms of knowledge. It is broadly equivalent to 1.5 A’ Levels and the old QCF BTEC National 90 Credit Diploma.
The Level 3 Certificate in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering has been designed to meet the requirements of the Foundation phase of many of the Trailblazer standards in Engineering, including the Mechatronics Maintenance Technician. It is for learners, providers and employers who wish to complete more knowledge units in order to progress to an Extended Diploma in the Development Phase. It enables learners to complete additional optional units to allow for greater specialism in their chosen areas.
UCAS
This qualification is set at level 3 and therefore has an equivalency to A’ Levels. To that end it also acquires UCAS points based on the grade achieved which can be used to gain entry to University.
