Foundation Award in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering

The Developmental Knowledge qualification needed for the Engineering Technician Standard.

What is the Level 3 Foundation Award in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering?

The Level 3 Foundation Award in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering has been designed to meet the minimum requirements of the Development phase of many of the Trailblazer standards in Engineering, including the Mechatronics Maintenance Technician. It has been designed as the entry level opportunity and includes the one mandatory unit. Learners completing the Foundation Award will have to complete a number of additional optional units to meet the minimum requirements, and the structure will allow employers to select optional units that meet the needs of their business.
