Who is this course for?

In the NVQ Diploma Engineering Maintenance there are 12 optional pathways, Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, Electronic Maintenance, Fluid Power Maintenance, Engineered Systems Maintenance, Services Maintenance, Lift Servicing, Lift Repair, Escalator Repair and Service, Communications Electronics Maintenance, Servicing Medical Equipment and Instrumentation and Control Maintenance offering a choice of units applicable to individual workplaces and working environments

 

How long do I get to complete this qualification?

You are allowed 12 months to complete from registration. Your progress can be monitored in OneFile as we will program your start and finish dates. If you do not complete within the given time, you can extend on a month by month basis.

Group A – Mandatory Units: (35 Cr) – All Pathways

  • Complying with Statutory Regulations and Organisational Safety Requirements (A/601/5013)
  • Using and Interpreting Engineering Data and Documentation (Y/601/5102)

Mechanical – Must cover the following units:

  • Carrying Out Fault Diagnosis on Mechanical Equipment
  • Maintaining Mechanical Equipment

Plus two more units from the following:

  • Restoring Mechanical Components to Usable Condition by Repair
  • Producing Replacement Components for Maintenance Activities
  • Carrying Out Preventative Planned Maintenance on Mechanical Equipment
  • Carrying Out Condition Monitoring of Plant and Equipment
  • Assisting in the Installation of Mechanical Equipment

Electrical – Must cover the following units:
